That's what real estate investors told me when I did this story on Channel 2 in Atlanta on Sunday. The story is a positive reflection of the real estate market and speaks to the opportunity that exists in the industry....a far cry from most of the media reports in recent weeks. Thought everyone could use some good news :-)
Check out the story here:

Put "Tara Jones" in the search section and then change the drop-down bar to "last 30 days"

Hi Tara, your investors are correct, any market is what you make out of it.
It may take a few months for the negativeness to go by the wayside and have optimism return. Today was a great start. I think we will have to see what happens after the election. Optimism is flowing today.......spread the word.......
Tara, I fully agree I am and have purchase some properties this last quarter specifically due to the market conditions.
Bill- That's exactly right...perception is realty!
Tim- I agree...optimism today, optimism tomorrow, optimism ALWAYS! I get teased because I am truly one of kind...a journalist with a bright outlook on life ;-)
Frank- Good for you! I hope you have a wonderful return on your investments!
Good job... I could have loaned you a listing or two to shoot in. ;^ )
It is noce to know that we have a logical voice in the media. Thank you.
As always, thanks, Lane!! Trust me, I have you on my short list when I need real estate contacts for the television world! So be ready!!!
Investors generally understand that opportunity dwells when blood is flowing in the streets. The current market would illustrate that condition quite well.
I just got my hair cut. I'm sick this week, though. Kind of a curmudgeon.
Wow how long until you are blackballed? God forbid we report against the doom and gloom - whether true or not. Good job.
Steve- HA! I know, it was a hard sell to the "powers that be" at the station but I think it's important to show ALL sides of a situation...good and bad. I think too often the positive side is ignored in an effort to exploit the hardships. No doubt, hard times are upon us but we don't have to keep shoving that down viewers' throats as if they don't know...give them something else!
Thanks for the compliment...it means a lot :-)
Thanks! This is very true. There is always a play in Real Estate. We have to keep up the positive outlooks.
Could not agree more, Zane! It's not always the easy thing to do (buck the mainstream opinion) but often times, it is the most beneficial :-)
Stay positive and good things will come to you! THanks for sharing!
No problem, Norma. I am a firm believer in words have power so keep them positive!
Agreed. Prices are low. Rates are low as well. NOw is a great time to buy a home
Thanks
Don
Don- You are absolutely right. It's just a matter of getting that message across in the midst of the media telling everyone the sky is falling! ;-)
I couldn't find the video...the one that came on was all about a court case...??? I'd love to see the one you reference.
Mara- Click on the link in the blog. When the WSB page pops up look under the video box. There you will see a place that reads "Search all videos" and "Today". Change the "Search all videos" to "Tara Jones" and the "Today" to "More than 30 days". The video will be the third one on the top row.
Please let me know if you have any problems.
